Welcome to my website!

I am an assistant professor of public administration at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam working on questions related to Artificial Intelligence and Governance .

My research centers on how the increasing use of data and artificial intelligence lead to changes in government, particularly regarding forms of decision-making and the relationship between citizens and the state. I am also interested in how governments and other stakeholders shape the development, deployment and use of artificial intelligence.
With my work, I aim to contribute insights on how to ensure a responsible use of the technology.

My work has been published in a various international journals, such as Big Data & Society, Comparative Political Studies, European Journal of Political Research, Government Information Quarterly, Information Technology for Development, Journal of European Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Management Review, Regulation & Governance, Sustainable Cities and Society, and West European Politics.
